COMMUNITY SERVICE
Lifeguards - Pro Sayulita works with Proteccion Civil, Firefighters Crossing Borders and Sayulita Surf Rescue.
Recycling - Pro Sayulita works with El Centro Creativo y Reciclaje.
Traffic - Pro Sayulita develops plans and liaises with Municipal, Transito and State officials in order to help decrease traffic saturation and clear streets during key busy times within the town.
Public Health Clinic (Salud) - Pro Sayulita organizes and delivers key medical supplies when necessary.
Beautification - Pro Sayulita liaises with local groups as well as the State to engage in sidewalk enlargement, tree planting and other initiatives designed to enhance the appearance of the town.
Community Events - Pro Sayulita donates to many local events in support of cultural events throughout the year, including the Day of the Dead Festival and “Celebrate the Beat” primary school’s dance program annually in March.
THE ENVIRONMENT
Water Testing - Pro Sayulita engages professionals to collect and test water in numerous river and ocean locations in Sayulita.
Street Cleaning - Power washing town streets.
SayulitAnimals - Pro Sayulita is a supporter of this organization. We pay their rent and help with spay and neuter clinics which run both out of the SayulitAnimal facility itself, and also in neighbouring areas away from the town.
EcoSayulita - Pro Sayulita supports this organization with funding for specific projects.

Sayulita is a small town with a big reputation. With such an international tourist scene, and influx of people each year moving to the area, we have to constantly keep re-evaluating the town’s infrastructure to accommodate more people! Year after year the need for clean water, street maintenance, lifeguards, ecology and protection programs grows. We are encroaching on nature, and we need to balance this growth with conscious development; keepin in mind an integral respect for the natural environment that offers us so much more than a place to live, but the water that we drink, swim in and our livelihoods. VOLUNTEER
Pro Sayulita funds a number of local partners including Sayulita Animals, Campamento Tortuga, the public schools, beach safety and lifeguard training, Sayulimpia, Eco Sayulita, Pueblo Magico, public safety agencies including the ambulance, bomberos, police, and ministerio publico, and our recycling center and trash depot. When disaster strikes, we are here to help.
We want to assist our community in getting back on their feet in challenging times! This last hurricane in October of 2022 was just one of many examples of the far reach and helping hands of our organization. With local citizens, partners and donors we were able to raise over $100,000 USD to clean up Sayulita, and donate to those most affected.

SAYULITA SURF RESCUE
Since 2010, the Sayulita Surf Rescue Program has trained over 250 local volunteers on surf rescue techniques. We have purchased safety equipment including three Rescue Boards and, over the past two years, have built and installed four Lifeguard towers. All of this was made possible by private donations and T-shirt sales.T-shirts are 100% cotton and shrink VERY little. Check out this FB page for more information. Shirts are available at NorthSide Cafe / 36 Calle Miramar in Sayulita, and all of our events * Open weekly from 7:30am - 2:00pm while quantities last.

SAYULITA BOMBERO SHIRTS
The Bomberos are the Proteccion Civil Firefighters. They are typically Bomberos y Lifeguards (cross trained). This is not a volunteer organization. They are government run and paid employees, just like our firefighters in the US and Canada. She is a firefighter from Richmond, BC. Apparently Firefighters from around the world love to collect t-shirts from different departments. She designed the shirts as a fundraiser for special projects. We ship anywhere in all of North America! Check out this FB page for more information. The Bombero Shirts are available for sale also at any ProSayulta Events. The proceeds from the sale of these shirts go to a fire safety awareness program for the children at La Primaria.

PRO SAYULITA SUP OPEN
This event is held annually in Sayulita and is a Stand Up Paddle Board competition with competing athelets from around the world in SUP Surfing, Technical and Long Distance racing. Purchase your shirts at Northside Cafe on the Northside or at Escondido Bar in downtown Sayulita, or send us an email with your order!
